ACT with Compassion - San Francisco, CA

This one day workshop will describe how ACT informs interventions for chronic self-criticism and shame and can be used to guide the use of compassion-focused interventions in psychotherapy. The use of various perspective taking exercises to develop more compassion for self and other will also be emphasized. Therapists can expect to walk away with an increased experiential and practical understanding of how to use acceptance, mindfulness, perspective-taking, and values interventions with clients suffering from chronic shame and self-criticism.
